Rio de Janeiro, 1981.
I studied Architecture at FAU-UFRJ.
Tattoo artist since 2003.
I currently live and work in Rio de Janeiro, where at the beginning of the pandemic (March 2020) I closed my tattoo studio and since then I have dedicated myself exclusively to painting.
In my works I seek to explore textures and visual movements in abstract paintings that evoke certain multicultural and ancestral symbolic elements. They are symmetrical compositions, marked by a formal profusion that seek to discuss the limits between the universal ambitions of abstract languages in contrast to their vernacular, popular and pop vocations.
The research is also based on certain rhythms of deco architecture, brutalist, science fiction imaginary, psychedelic comics and experimentalist and anti-design architecture of the 1960s-1970s.
